Job Title: Project Officer – Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Project (TALK)
Reporting To: Programme Officer Health and Livelihoods
Location: Samfya – Luapula Province
Job Purpose: To successfully implement the project through effective collaboration with the implementing partner and other relevant stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
The Project Officer will establish and manage project procedures ensuring project outcomes are delivered to the quality required by the programme and within set budgets and scope, developing realistic Project plans, and working effectively to implement the project within the specific timelines. S/he will maintain appropriate files and documentation of all programme development, volunteer placement management and correspondence, and all volunteer related activities. S/he will also coordinate capacity building of CBOs and relevant stakeholders using VSO Programme Intervention models and develop documentation to support specific volunteer placements identified with partners, and pursue effective selection and placement arrangements.
The Essential requirements for this post are:
- Minimum requirement of a Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development studies or equivalent. Other qualifications with a Diploma in a Health related field may be considered.
- Three years of Project management experience with a health project is desirable
- Practical expertise in HIV/AIDS or sexual and Reproductive health programs is of added advantage.
- Strong proven skills in M&E, including the development of appropriate reporting tools and systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to vary communication content and style to suit audiences to inform, motivate and inspire.
- Successful experience in grants management
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and local Bemba language
- A clean driving permit is of added advantage.
