Position: Health Underwriter– Focus Life Assurance Limited
Location: Lusaka
Reports to: General Manager
Responsibilities
- To oversee Health/medical underwriting or back office function of the business
- Manage the renewals of medical schemes and do Endorsements
- Manage the Contracts with Health Care Providers
- Manage claims processing and pre- Authorizations for Admissions
- Manage and facilitate Evacuations
- Risk management e.g. fraud detection, claim management
- Monitor and manage the Utilization of benefits
- Ensure that All HCPs operating on FLA’s network are aligned to FLA’s set guidelines
- Ensure that all registered HCPs have duly signed contracts
- To ensure that Health care providers are well informed about claim procedures
- To conduct health care provider training where necessary
Candidates Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Health sciences/medical field
- 5 years’ experience in the Insurance Industry (preferably Life Assurance)
- Wide experience in Medical underwriting will be an added advantage
